How our case studies are recorded and reviewed

Every case study on this site carries the mark “Recorded and approved by Monastic Media”. This page sets out how the figures were recorded and checked, and what the mark does not mean.

What a case study shows

Each of the 200 case studies is one past client of Monastic Media: its industry, the services we ran, its monthly revenue in the month we started and in the ending month, its ad spend in those two months, how many months that took, and the year the ending month fell in. Brand names stay private.

How these 200 were chosen

Our performance marketing team chose them from the brands we have worked with, as our strongest results. They are not every client we have worked with: every brand here reached at least 3 times its starting monthly revenue by the ending month, and brands below that, with flat revenue or with falling revenue are not among them.

Where the figures come from

In October 2026 the performance marketing team that ran each brand’s ads recorded the figures from our client notes and client conversations. Where a note did not hold a figure, the person who ran the account filled it in from their knowledge of the account, and the team went through it together on the review call.

How we review them

  1. The person who ran the account fills in the brand’s row from the client notes and client conversations, and from their own knowledge of the account where a note holds no figure.
  2. The performance marketing team goes through every row together on a review call.
  3. Our founder approves the set before anything is published. These 200 case studies were approved and first published on 23 Oct 2026; their pages took this form on 26 Oct 2026.
  4. Each page shows the figures as recorded: the starting month, the ending month, the services and the period. Nothing between those two months is filled in, and nothing is added from other accounts.

None of these steps compares a figure with the store reports or ad-account reports of the brand; that is why the mark says “Recorded and approved by Monastic Media” and not more. A case whose figures have been checked against the store or ad-account reports of the brand carries the mark “Verified by Monastic Media” and names the report it was checked against; none has been checked that way yet.

What our records hold

  • Monthly revenue is one figure per month: the brand’s total sales, as our team recorded it. Our records do not split it by sales channel and do not say whether it includes GST or whether it is before or after discounts and cancellations. Figures are rounded the way the team wrote them down.
  • No page says which of its figures came from notes and which from the team’s knowledge of the account.
  • Month N is the Nth month after the month we started: the month the team recorded as the ending month. Our records do not say whether it was the last month of the work or the month the team chose to report. For it the records hold the year, not the calendar month, and they do not hold the months after it.
  • Ad spend is the brand’s spend on ads in the starting month and in month N, as the team recorded it, not split by platform.

How we keep the pages clear

Before a change to these pages goes live, and again every week, AI reviewers that know nothing about us read them, looking for wording that could mislead and for text repeated from page to page. They read the wording; they do not check the figures. Anything they find goes to our team to fix.

What the mark does not mean

  • It is our own record, not an outside audit. The site shows no client names, screenshots or ad-account access.
  • Revenue is the brand’s total sales in a month. It is not profit, and returns and RTO are not shown.
  • Revenue also moves with the brand’s products, prices, season and other sales channels. A case study shows what we ran and where the two months stood, not how much of the change came from our ads.
  • Results differ from brand to brand. These case studies show what happened for these brands; they are not an average of every client we have worked with.
