Best Offshore Performance Marketing Agency in India for US Ecommerce Brands

What to check before a US store hands its Meta and Google Ads to a team in India: US proof, who makes the ads, who owns the account and when reports land.

The short answer

The best offshore agency for a US ecommerce brand is not the one with the longest client list. It is the one that understands the US buyer, makes ads that look right to a US viewer, keeps your ad account in your name and reports at an hour that works for you.

Most ranking pages list agency names and service menus. That does not tell you whether a team in India can sell to a shopper in Ohio. The four checks below do. If you are also hiring from the UK or UAE, our wider guide on hiring a performance marketing agency in India from the US, UK or UAE covers contracts and payments. This page goes deeper on the US store.

Check 1: Real US-market proof, not a big number

Every agency quotes totals. Ours are 110CR+ spent on ads, 440CR+ revenue created, 250+ brands and 5YR+ experience, built mostly with D2C brands in India. Totals like these prove the team has run a lot of spend. They do not prove US experience. Ask any agency what part of its work was for US buyers, then test it.

No good agency will show you another client's name or account. But it can talk you through US-specific decisions without naming anyone. Ask these:

  • Which US states or regions did you exclude or push, and why? A real answer mentions shipping zones, delivery times or sales tax, not just 'we went broad'.
  • How do you handle the card-paying US buyer? Cash on delivery is rare in the US, so the funnel problems are checkout trust, shipping cost and returns policy, not order confirmation calls.
  • What would you change in my account in the first two weeks? Ask for a short audit of your own account. Specific notes beat any case study.
  • Who has run US spend on your team, and will that person run mine? Senior people often win the pitch and juniors run the account.

Check 2: Who makes the ads, and for which viewer

On Meta, the ad decides who sees it. So for a US store, the creative has to feel native to a US feed: the accent, the kitchen, the bathroom shelf, the way people talk about price and shipping. An Indian team can script, edit and test well for the US. Shooting US-looking scenes in Surat or Mumbai is harder. Ask plainly how they solve it.

There are three honest answers. They script and edit in India and source US creators remotely. They shoot product-only and hand-only videos that travel across markets. Or they use your existing US footage and focus on editing and testing. Each can work. A vague answer is the red flag. See creative vs media buying only for why the creative side matters as much as the buying.

Check 3: Your ad account, your data

An offshore agency should work inside accounts you own. Never let an agency run your US store from an ad account in its own name. If the relationship ends, you lose the history the platform learned from.

Set up the basics correctly before any spend goes out:

  • Ownership: your Meta Business portfolio and your Google Ads account, with the agency added as a partner. You keep admin access.
  • Time zone and currency: set the ad account to your US time zone and your store's currency. On Meta these are fixed when the account is made, and changing them later means a new ad account.
  • Tracking: pixel plus Conversions API, with good match quality. Our CAPI setup guide walks through it, and the same steps apply to a US store.
  • Billing: your card or your company pays the platforms directly. The agency should never hold your ad spend.
  • Google Shopping: a Merchant Center feed with US shipping and tax settings filled in, so products are not disapproved.

Check 4: Reporting at an hour you can use

The time gap is a real advantage if it is planned. India works while the US sleeps, so changes can be made overnight and a report can be ready when your day starts. India Standard Time does not change for daylight saving, but the US does. In 2026 US daylight saving ends on Sunday 1 November, so every US-facing report moves one hour earlier on your clock from that week.

Our seven KPIs (spend, revenue, ROAS, cost per purchase, CTR, CPC, purchases) go to each brand's Slack channel at 6:30 PM IST every evening. Here is when that lands in the US:

US time zoneUntil 31 Oct 2026From 1 Nov 2026
Eastern (New York)9:00 AM8:00 AM
Central (Chicago)8:00 AM7:00 AM
Mountain (Denver)7:00 AM6:00 AM
Arizona (no daylight saving)6:00 AM6:00 AM
Pacific (Los Angeles)6:00 AM5:00 AM

Make the numbers line up with your store

US founders often say the agency report does not match their store's order count. Usually nothing is wrong. Meta counts purchases by its attribution window and your store counts orders by when they were placed. If the two are set to different time zones, the daily totals split at different hours too.

Agree on three things in week one: which time zone every report uses, which attribution setting is the standard (read 7-day click vs 1-day click), and which number is the source of truth for revenue. If gaps stay large, work through why Meta purchases do not match store orders.

How to run the first 60 days

  • Days 1 to 10: access, tracking check, account audit, and a written list of what will change and why.
  • Days 10 to 30: first batch of new ads live, with a creative testing framework both sides agree on.
  • Days 30 to 60: judge on cost per purchase and new customer revenue from your store data, not on screenshots.
  • Throughout: one weekly call in your morning, and a daily report you actually read.

Questions

Is it safe for a US ecommerce brand to hire a performance marketing agency in India?

Yes, if the ad accounts, pixel and payment method stay in your name and the agency works as a partner with limited access. That way you can remove them in minutes and keep all your data.

Can an Indian agency make ads that work for US shoppers?

Scripting, editing and testing travel well. On-camera work is the hard part, so ask whether they use US creators sourced remotely, product-only videos or your own footage.

How does the time difference affect campaign management?

Done well, it helps: changes happen during the US night and a report is ready by your morning. Agree a fixed report time and a weekly call slot, and remember US daylight saving shifts the overlap by an hour.

Should the agency use its own ad account for my store?

No. Use your own Meta Business portfolio and Google Ads account, set to your US time zone and currency, and add the agency as a partner.

What should I ask for instead of client names?

Ask for a short audit of your own account and a walk-through of US-specific decisions they have made. A team that knows the US market can explain those without naming any client.
