Performance Marketing Agency for D2C Brands in Bangalore: Hiring a Remote Team

Your ad account doesn't care where your agency sits. This guide covers what a Bangalore D2C founder should really check before hiring a remote performance marketing team.

Search for a Bangalore agency and you mostly get city lists

Search "performance marketing agency Bangalore" and you will mostly find three kinds of pages. There are top-ten lists written by agencies that put themselves first. There are template pages with one copy for every area (Whitefield, Koramangala, HSR Layout) where only the area name changes. And there are job posts for in-house roles. None of them answer the question a founder actually has: will this team run my Meta and Google Ads well, and will they make ads videos that sell?

Lots of Bengaluru D2C brands already work with teams in other cities, often without noticing. Their ad accounts, online store, creators and warehouse are spread across India anyway. So office location is one factor among several, and usually not the one that decides results.

What an agency's city changes, and what it doesn't

Here is an honest split. Most of the work that moves revenue happens inside platforms and on calls, and it works the same from any city.

Part of the workDoes a Bangalore office matter? Why
Running Meta and Google AdsNoCampaigns run inside your ad account. Location targeting depends on where your buyers are, not where the media buyer sits.
Tracking, pixel and CAPI setupNoDone in Events Manager, Google Ads and your store backend with access you grant.
Daily reporting and decisionsNoSlack, shared dashboards and calls work the same from any city.
Ads video shootsSometimesProducts can be couriered to the team's studio. Shoots at your store, factory or with a founder on camera need travel or a local crew.
Creators for UGC-style adsRarelyGood creators are spread across India. What matters is the agency's creator bench and brief quality.
In-person strategy daysYes, if you want them oftenA remote team can fly in for quarterly reviews. If you want weekly face time, local is easier.

How a remote performance marketing team works day to day

A good remote setup should feel closer than a local agency you meet once a month. Here is what a working arrangement looks like:

  • You own everything. Your Business Manager, ad accounts, pixel, catalogue and online store stay in your name. The agency gets partner access, which you can remove in one click.
  • A shared Slack channel, not email threads. Questions get answered the same day, and decisions are written down where everyone can see them.
  • Daily numbers. Spend, revenue, ROAS, cost per purchase, CTR, CPC and purchases, sent at a fixed time every evening, so you never have to ask how yesterday went.
  • A weekly call about what was tested, what won, what gets paused and which creatives are coming next.
  • A monthly review of your contribution margin, not just ROAS. See contribution margin vs ROAS for why this matters.
  • Clear owners. You should know which person makes changes in your account and which person writes your scripts.

Ads videos when the team is in another city

For most D2C brands, creative is where results are won or lost. On Meta, the ad itself does much of the targeting. So the real question is not "where is the agency?" but "who makes the videos, and how fast?"

With a remote team, the usual flow is simple. You courier product samples to the studio. Scripts and hooks come to you for approval on Slack. The team shoots and edits, and you review cuts before anything goes live. Lifestyle ads videos with sets and on-camera talent, and performance ads videos with creators, can both be made this way.

One thing to check: if your agency writes the scripts but sends the shoot to a freelancer, and the freelancer sends edits to someone else, the feedback loop gets slow. An in-house team that scripts, shoots, edits and also runs the ads can turn a winning angle into new variations within days. Selling to Bangalore buyers versus selling from Bangalore

Many Bangalore brands sell across India, and most of their orders may come from other cities. Others really do depend on local buyers. Either way, the targeting is set by geography in the ad account, and it works the same whatever city your agency is in.

If Bangalore and Karnataka are key markets for you, ask how the agency handles local creative. Bengaluru buyers speak many languages, so test English, Hindi and Kannada versions of your best hooks, and use creators who look and sound like your buyers. Also check delivery promises in the ad match what your logistics can actually do in each pin code. That gap is a common reason for clicks without sales, which we cover in Facebook ads getting clicks but no sales.

Questions to ask any agency, Bangalore office or not

A team that answers these clearly from Surat or Pune is a safer bet than one with a Koramangala address that gets vague about them. For a fuller list, see our Meta Ads agency checklist.

  • Who exactly will work on my account, and how many other brands does that person handle?
  • Will my Business Manager, ad accounts and pixel stay in my name?
  • Who makes the ads videos: your own team or outside freelancers? How many new creatives do I get each month?
  • Which numbers will I see every day, and at what time?
  • Can you show case studies from my category with the method explained, not just a screenshot?
  • What happens in the first 30 days: an audit, tracking fixes, a creative plan?
  • What is the notice period if it doesn't work out, and do I keep all creatives and data?

When a Bangalore office really does matter

If none of these apply, judge agencies on creative output, media buying depth, reporting and account ownership. City comes last. Our guide on how to choose a performance marketing agency covers that comparison step by step.

  • You need frequent shoots at your own store, café, studio or factory that can't be moved.
  • Your founder is the face of the brand and needs to be filmed often.
  • You run offline retail in Bangalore and want one team handling store events too.
  • Your team prefers working in person and finds remote calls a struggle.

Questions

Is it a good idea for a Bangalore D2C brand to hire a performance marketing agency from another city?

Yes, if the agency gives you clear daily reporting, quick replies on a shared channel and full ownership of your accounts. Meta and Google Ads are run inside your ad account, so the agency's city doesn't change how campaigns perform.

How do ads video shoots work if the agency isn't in Bangalore?

You courier product samples to the agency's studio, approve scripts and hooks on Slack, and review edits before they go live. Shoots at your own location need travel or a local crew, so ask about this upfront.

Can a remote agency target only Bangalore customers on Meta Ads?

Yes. Location targeting by city, radius or pin code is set in the ad account and works the same wherever the agency is. Local creative, like Kannada versions or Bangalore creators, can be tested on top of that.

Will I lose control of my ad account with a remote agency?

You shouldn't. Keep the Business Manager, ad accounts, pixel and catalogue in your company's name and give the agency partner access, which you can remove at any time.

How often should a remote agency report results?

Core numbers like spend, revenue, ROAS, cost per purchase and purchases should come to you daily, with a weekly call on tests and creatives and a monthly margin review.
