D2C brand case study: 300% in 5 months, then 60% down after leaving
Case study
What changed
The first bar is growth over our 5 months. The second is how far revenue had fallen when they came back, measured from where they left us. One is a rise, the other a fall.

Context
Where the brand stood
This is a D2C brand we scaled 300% in 5 months. Things ran smoothly until the off-season.
Om shared what happened next on LinkedIn in September 2025, in a post about brands that hop from agency to agency.
Problem
What was holding it back
When the off-season hit, revenue stayed stable but growth stopped. What needed attention was fresh creatives, stronger UGC and a refined funnel. Instead, the client went looking for faster growth with another agency.
Two months later, after three agencies back-to-back, they came back to us with revenue down 60% from where they had left us. The ask now is to get back to the same level.
What we did
What we changed
Scaled them over 5 months
We took the brand up 300% in 5 months, and things ran smoothly.
Held revenue in the off-season
When the off-season hit, revenue stayed stable. Growth stopped, but revenue did not fall.
The fix the off-season needed
The work was fresh creatives, stronger UGC and a refined funnel. The client went with another agency for faster growth instead.
Took them back
Two months and three agencies later, the brand came back to us, 60% down. The work now is getting back to the same level.
The numbers
How to read these numbers
The chart puts the two figures from the post side by side. The first bar is the 300% we scaled the brand by in 5 months. The second bar is the fall: when they came back, revenue was down 60% from where they had left us.
The post did not give revenue in rupees, so these are the only two figures. The bars measure different things, a rise and a fall, and are shown as the post stated them.
Result
Where it ended up
After 5 months with us the brand was up 300%. After two months and three agencies away, revenue was down 60% from where they had left off. They are back with us, and the ask is to get back to where they were.
For founders
What it means for a founder
Changing agencies is not how growth comes. In Om's words, it comes from consistency, patience, and being brutally honest about what actually needs fixing.
A flat stretch is not always the agency. Sometimes it is the season. Here revenue held through the off-season; only growth paused.
Sometimes it is the product. In the same post Om wrote about another brand we launched from scratch. We tried campaign structures, new angles, UGC and fresh hooks. The product was overpriced for the value it offered, and sales never picked up.
Sometimes it is impatience. Before you switch, ask what changed. In this brand's off-season the answer was fresh creatives, stronger UGC and a better funnel, work you can ask your current team for.
