Context
Where the brand stood
A family in Rajkot ran a textile business. Rajkot is a hub of textile manufacturing, and the business was doing well in its own lane. The owner, who had taken it over from his family, wanted to take it beyond the usual offline routes and sell online through dropshipping.
He came to us before the store existed. We shared the result on our LinkedIn page on 2 May 2024, with the store stats as of 30 April 2024.
Problem
What was holding it back
The owner knew why he wanted to move: commerce was going digital, and the family business had to move with it. He did not know how. He had a limited understanding of how dropshipping works and no partner he trusted to guide him through it.
So the idea stayed an idea. The product side was strong. The online side was new to him.
What we did
What we changed
Explained dropshipping first
Before anything went live, we walked him through how dropshipping works, one part at a time, until the model was clear to him.
Showed results from live stores
We shared testimonials and results from our existing clients as they came in, so he could see what the model looked like in practice.
Started from the basics
We set the store up together with him and his team, starting from the basics rather than jumping straight to scale.
Fitted it to his business
The way we ran the store was built around his business and his market, not copied from another client.
Read the store numbers by date
We tracked daily revenue and average ROAS, and shared the store stats as of 30 April 2024.
The numbers
How to read these numbers
The article shares two figures, both from the store stats as of 30 April 2024. Daily revenue was consistently above ₹1 lakh. The average return on ad spend was 7.5, so every ₹1 of ad spend brought back ₹7.5 in revenue on average.
The chart shows the one revenue figure we published. We did not share a day by day series or the store's early days in rupees, so we do not show them.
Result
Where it ended up
Within three weeks of going live, the owner was seeing results. By 30 April 2024 the store was doing over ₹1 lakh a day, day after day, at an average ROAS of 7.5.
A family that had only sold textiles through traditional routes now had an online store that paid for its ads several times over.
For founders
What it means for a founder
If you already run a business offline, you do not need to know everything about a new channel before you start. You need someone who explains it plainly and shows you live results from people already doing it.
Start from the basics, with your own team in the room. This owner's team was part of setting up the store from the first step.
Judge a new store on two numbers read on a fixed date: daily revenue and return on ad spend. That is how this store's result was shared.
