Best Performance Marketing Agency in Ahmedabad: A D2C Founder's Guide
A list of names will not tell you which agency fits your brand. Here is how to judge Ahmedabad options on ads, creative, tracking and reporting.
What "best" should mean for an Ahmedabad D2C brand
Most pages that rank for this search are lists of agencies. A list tells you who exists. It does not tell you who can sell your product on your own website at a profit.
For a D2C brand, the best agency is the team that can take a buyer from the first ad to checkout, at your stage and within your margins. In practice that comes down to three questions. Who makes the ads? Who runs the ad accounts? How do you see the numbers? If an agency answers all three clearly, it belongs on your shortlist. If it cannot, its rank on a list does not matter.
What Ahmedabad D2C brands usually look like
Ahmedabad has a deep base of textile, ethnic wear, food and snacks, home and kitchen, and ayurvedic and pharma-linked businesses. Many of them began as manufacturers or wholesalers and now sell direct through their own website. That background decides what your agency needs to be good at.
- Wholesale to D2C brands: strong product and sourcing, but often no ad content, weak product photos and a website that was never built to sell. Fix the store before you scale spend, using the D2C website conversion checklist.
- Ethnic wear and kurta brands: large catalogues with many sizes and colours. Catalogue ads and a clean product feed matter as much as video here.
- Snacks, masala and food brands: low order values, so cost per purchase and repeat orders decide profit, not ROAS on its own.
- Ayurveda and wellness brands: claims have to stay within ASCI rules and Meta's ad policies. See what you can't claim in D2C ad copy.
- Buyers from across India: most orders for an Ahmedabad brand come from outside Gujarat. National ecommerce experience matters more than local reach.
Local agency, D2C specialist or freelancer?
Ahmedabad founders usually choose between four options. Each one fits a different situation.
- Compare the two main routes in D2C specialist vs full-service digital agency.
- Thinking of hiring instead? Read in-house team vs performance marketing agency.
| Option | Works well when | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Local full-service agency | You want walk-in meetings and also need local lead generation, print or events | Ecommerce may be one service among many. Ask how many ecommerce brands they run today |
| D2C specialist (Ahmedabad or elsewhere in India) | Most sales come from your website and Meta and Google Ads are the main channels | Check whether they make ads videos in-house or hand them to someone else |
| Freelance media buyer | Early stage, small spends, and the founder can handle creative | One person, no backup, and creative is usually not included |
| In-house hire | You already have steady spend and a creative team | Hiring, training and keeping one good buyer is hard work |
Questions to ask any agency before you sign
Ask every agency on your shortlist the same questions and compare the answers side by side. Vague answers are an answer too.
- Who will run my account day to day, and how many other accounts do they handle?
- Who writes, shoots and edits the ads videos, and how many new ones will I get each month?
- Will the Meta ad account, Business Manager, pixel, Google Ads and Merchant Center stay in my company's name? The only right answer is yes.
- How is purchase tracking set up? Ask about the Conversions API and event match quality. Our Meta CAPI setup guide explains what good looks like.
- What will I see every day? At minimum: spend, revenue, ROAS, cost per purchase, CTR, CPC and purchases.
- How do you handle COD orders and RTO? If cash on delivery is a big share of your orders, read Meta Ads strategy for high COD return rates.
- Can I speak to a founder whose brand you run today?
- What is the notice period if it does not work out?
Creative is the bigger half of the job
On Meta, the ad itself does most of the targeting. The platform reads the video, the hook and the product, then finds people likely to buy. That means the agency that makes better ads, more often, usually wins, even with the same budget.
Many Ahmedabad brands have a strong product and almost no content. So ask to see real ads videos the agency has produced: performance ads videos with a clear hook, demo and offer, and lifestyle ads videos for premium products and launches. Ask how they decide what to test next and when they retire a tired ad.
Language matters too. Hindi or Hinglish usually works for national prospecting. Gujarati versions can help when you target buyers in Gujarat or the Gujarati community abroad. A good team tests these as separate ads, not as guesses. The Meta Ads creative testing framework shows how.
Red flags to walk away from
- A guaranteed ROAS or a promised sales number before they have seen your data.
- Ad accounts or the pixel opened in the agency's name.
- Reports full of reach, followers and impressions, with no revenue or cost per purchase.
- No questions about your margins, order value, shipping cost or return rate.
- Boosting Instagram posts presented as a performance strategy.
- The same deck and the same plan for every brand, whatever the category.
- Long lock-in contracts with no exit clause.
Does the agency need to be in Ahmedabad?
Not really. Ad accounts are run online, and a good agency talks to you on Slack or WhatsApp every day. What you need is fast replies, clear daily numbers and a team that can come for a shoot or a planning day when needed.
A team based elsewhere in Gujarat, such as Surat, is a few hours away by road or train, so shoot days and in-person reviews stay practical. Distance matters far less than whether the people running your account understand D2C ecommerce. For a wider view, see how to choose a performance marketing agency.
What a sensible first 90 days looks like
A good agency does not start by raising spend. It starts by making sure every rupee can be measured.
- Weeks 1 to 2: audit the pixel, Conversions API, GA4 and store checkout. Fix what is broken.
- Weeks 2 to 4: set up a clean account structure and ship the first batch of ads videos.
- Month 2: test hooks, angles and offers. Cut what is not selling and keep what is.
- Month 3: scale the winners, add retargeting and, where it fits, Google Shopping.
- Every evening: the same seven numbers, so you never have to chase a report.
How Monastic Media helps
One in-house team in Surat scripts, shoots and edits the ads videos and runs the Meta and Google campaigns they go into, so the people who see the numbers make the next ad. See our performance marketing

Questions
Which is the best performance marketing agency in Ahmedabad for D2C brands?+
There is no single answer for every brand. The best fit runs ecommerce accounts like yours today, makes ads videos in-house, keeps every account in your name and shares sales numbers daily. Shortlist three and ask each the same questions.
Should I hire a local Ahmedabad agency or one from another city?+
Choose on D2C experience, not postcode. Ad accounts run online, so daily reporting and fast replies matter more than distance, as long as the team can come for shoots when needed.
How long should I give a new agency before judging results?+
Give a new account two to three months of steady testing. The first weeks go into fixing tracking and finding ads that work, so judge the trend in cost per purchase, not the first week.
Can an agency make Meta ads in Gujarati?+
Yes, a capable team can script and shoot Gujarati versions alongside Hindi or Hinglish ones. Run them as separate ads so you can see which language sells better for each audience.
What should my daily agency report include?+
At minimum: spend, revenue, ROAS, cost per purchase, CTR, CPC and purchases. If you only get reach and followers, you cannot tell whether the ads are making money.
