Context
Where the brand stood
This fashion brand came to us stuck at 15L a month. Its ads ran on Meta.
Om shared what happened next on LinkedIn on 22 April 2025, covering February and March.
Problem
What was holding it back
Revenue was flat at 15L a month. Most of the ads running were waste: in the end we turned off 80% of them.
The ads were trying to sell the entire wardrobe instead of the bestsellers, and the creatives looked like boring ads.
What we did
What we changed
Turned off the waste
We switched off 80% of the ads, the ones that were waste.
Backed the bestsellers only
We put the ads behind the bestsellers, not the entire wardrobe.
Made new creatives
We made new creatives that did not look like boring ads.
Scaled hard on winners
When we found an ad that worked, we scaled it hard and fast.
The numbers
How to read these numbers
The chart has two bars: 15L a month when the brand came to us, and 30L+ in March. The post put March at up 99% from February.
March was not a smooth month. Revenue spiked around 10 March, when Meta started behaving and stock was in place. After the 20th the line went flat because the brand ran out of stock. The 30L+ came in despite those dips.
Result
Where it ended up
March closed at 30L+, up 99% from February, even with a stockout after the 20th.
When Om posted, the next number on the table was ₹50L a month in April. The post did not report how April went.
For founders
What it means for a founder
Cut before you add. Turning off 80% of the ads was the first thing on the list.
Put your ad money behind what already sells. Bestsellers first, not the whole range.
Keep stock in line with the ads. The best stretch came when stock was in place. After the 20th the brand ran out, and the line went flat.
When something works, scale it hard and fast. That is what we did each time we found a winner.
Questions
Questions founders ask
Why did sales go flat late in March?+
The brand ran out of stock after the 20th. The post calls it a stockout.
